First thing first, did you ever own a pair of these shoes? (Clueless? These Steve Maddens were all the rage in the USA back in the 90s!)
Next Question: Do you use a serum?
If you answered "No", then read on...
Imagine going on a health kick. You eat super healthy, drink lots of water and take your vitamins. How do you feel? Amazing, right? That's sort of what using a serum is like but the benefit is for your skin. Imagine how your skin would look!
Serums are moisturizing formulas made up of small molecules that can penetrate deep into the skin. Think of putting an anti-wrinkle agent deep down into the layers of your skin and getting a concentrated boost.
Although they are moisturizing, they are not moisturizers, meaning you still need to add a nice layer of your favorite eye and face cream. Think of a serum being the first step, or "base" to your skin care routine. I use serums both in the morning and night. If you are not sure what to do, look on the bottle for the instructions.
I have been using serums for the past few years and my skin has stayed supple and plump. I still have fine lines, but they are no where as deep or noticeable as they could be. As I am now my mid-30s, I am extremely focused on taking care of my skin and retaining its moisture and elasticity. For me, serums are a big part of that.
Confused on what exactly to buy? As always, I have your answers!
For Dehydrated Skin: Since I have dry skin, I fall under this category. I personally use the Caudalie Vinosource S.O.S. Thirst Quenching Serum(178 aed, Sephora.ae). I just finished my first bottle of this oil- free serum and noticed that my skin appears to be more supple and soft. My face has not felt so tight lately (as typical with dry skin)! I really like this serum and will absolutely repurchase.
This product is available is Sephora in the UAE, however I could not find it on their website. Instead, I linked the product to the US Sephora so you can read more into it!
For Dull Skin: The Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum Complexion Correcting serum(286 aed, Sephora.ae) is an award-winning product containing Viniferine, a patented compound found in vine sap that illuminates and corrects the complexion. This product is formulated to prevent dark spots, even skin tone and boost skin's radiance. It also reduces the appearance of acne marks and brightens skin tone.
For Enlarged Pores and Oily Skin: To minimize the appearance of large pores, while simultaneously mattifying and tightening the skin, look at the Clarins Pore Minimizing Serum (170 aed, Sephora.ae). This oil-free serum also helps to control the shine on the skin all day long.
I'm sure you have noticed the prices of these serums. I know, they are not cheap. However, remember that you are getting a concentrated dose of these great ingredients and a little bit of product goes a long way.
If you are debating on the price of the serum, my suggestion is buy a bottle, use it for two months and see if you notice a difference. To offset the cost, skip two takeaways! Your body and skin will be thanking you!
